According to reports, China Telecom has all ADSL users’ 80 (http) port shielded.
The reply from telecommunications services hotline is: China Telecom care of all ADSL users take the initiative to help shield the 80-port. According to the request of the 2009-12-20 from Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, China Telecom ADSL broadband services provide only general broadband Internet access, the user can not provide other external services, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology did not give re-open time.

ADSL itself is not suitable for release site, because it is dynamic IP, can only use  dynamic domain name resolution, and it have stability problems.  At the same time because of the technical characteristics, ADSL upstream bandwidth is very small, even if I use the the 8M downstream bandwidth ADSL, upstream bandwidth can only reach 512K, it is difficult to support a large number of user access.

Even so, China Telecom has still sealed 80-port, so, ADSL users will not be able to use dynamic IP domain resolution to release site in their home, cause the default http port can not be opened. All the website through IDC were requested to registered in Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, however the home computer through ADSL is no need to do that.
